Lamb is also very rich in niacin, vitamin B12, zinc and selenium, which all contribute to optimal bodily functions. The ground bone contained in our recipe also contributes to great oral health and hygiene which is imperative to the overall health of dogs. Poor oral hygiene can create unpleasant side effects which can affect the digestive and immune system of dogs.

Organic lamb liver, heart and kidney are all fantastic sources of riboflavin, niacin, thiamin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, copper, selenium and iron, as well as being great sources of protein. These are all essential nutrients which contribute to the overall health of dogs, including, heart, skin, bone, blood, digestive, oral and immune system health.

The digestive enzymes, gastric juices and amino acids found in lamb tripe are very nutritious for dogs as they contribute to a dog's own digestion and well as the health of other body functions. Lamb, lamb offal and lamb tripe are all considered complete protein sources for dogs, meaning that they contain all 10 of the essential amino acids that dogs need to consume as part of their diet.

Puppies should be fed 5-6% of their growing body weight and Adult dogs should be fed 2-3% of their ideal body weight.

This is only a guide. Some dogs may need, more or less to maintain proper weight. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed of your puppy depends on the age they can move to adult formula, larger puppies can move over sooner, but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

Puppies

With puppies between 3 – 6 weeks old, you can start on our weaning paste. Just like with babies, you want to introduce plain and simple foods first. Our weaning paste is ground to a paste that will have fine bits of bone, which is great for puppies' teeth and easy for them to digest. The weaning paste is only intended as a supplement to the mother's milk. They should be allowed to suckle first then offer the weaning paste.

After 6 weeks, you can start introducing our puppy food which is still very fine and a simple, bland food. By the time they reach 4 months, you can start introducing the normal formulas.
