Useful Information
  • Moisture - the natural presence found in the ingredients
  • Protein - are biological molecules consisting of one or more chains of amino acids
  • Fat - includes all fats: saturated fats, trans fats, and the unsaturated fats, polyunsaturated and monounsaturated
  • Ash (inorganic matter) - is the inorganic residue remaining after the water and organic matter have been removed
  • Fibre - the term given to the indigestible part of food

Canine diets which are high in fat can contribute to the development of various serious health concerns including weight gain, pancreatitis and colitis. Unfortunately, commercially available dog foods can contain high levels of fat due to the low-quality and biologically inappropriate ingredients. This is almost certainly a contributing factor to the obesity epidemic in the domesticated canine world today.

Whilst a certain amount of essential fatty acids is imperative for optimal canine health, it is important to ensure that your dog is not overconsuming high-fat foods (including human foods). Our overweight dog food recipe features British tripe and human-grade quality turkey, both of which are low-fat sources of quality protein, amino acids and other essential nutrients. This recipe is also naturally low in bone content.

Our natural ingredients are easy for your dog to digest, extremely gentle on the gut, allergen-free and deliver high quality nutrition to maintain your dog's healthy weight.

Puppies should be fed 5-6% of their growing body weight and Adult dogs should be fed 2-3% of their ideal body weight.

This is only a guide. Some dogs may need, more or less to maintain proper weight. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed of your puppy depends on the age they can move to adult formula, larger puppies can move over sooner, but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

Puppies

With puppies between 3 – 6 weeks old, you can start on our weaning paste. Just like with babies, you want to introduce plain and simple foods first. Our weaning paste is ground to a paste that will have fine bits of bone, which is great for puppies' teeth and easy for them to digest. The weaning paste is only intended as a supplement to the mother's milk. They should be allowed to suckle first then offer the weaning paste.

After 6 weeks, you can start introducing our puppy food which is still very fine and a simple, bland food. By the time they reach 4 months, you can start introducing the normal formulas.
