High-quality raw beef, beef heart and beef liver make up 93% of our Leo & Wolf beef and vegetable meatballs. This makes them naturally rich in protein, which is a crucial component of healthy canine diets. Dogs require high levels of quality, complete protein (and the amino acids that build proteins) to support a multitude of bodily functions, including muscle and tissue formulation and repair, hair growth and skin cell formulation, energy formulation and immune system support. Beef is considered a complete protein as it contains all the essential amino acids that dogs need to consume in their diet in order to promote optimal bodily function. Beef is also a great source of B vitamins, zinc and iron.

For dogs, offal (heart and liver) is great tasting and well textured, meaning that it contributes greatly to their overall enjoyment of food. Beef offal is also a fantastic source of riboflavin, niacin, thiamin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, copper, selenium and iron. Raw vegetables make up the rest of the recipe, which are chosen specifically chosen by our nutritionists for their impressive nutritional profile.

Cooking processes and preservatives can damage the nutritional profile of pet food products. As Leo & Wolf beef and vegetable meatballs are frozen when fresh and raw, and then served when defrosted, all of the nutrients are naturally preserved so that your pet can digest them efficiently.

These raw meatballs are a frozen raw meat product and must be stored and handled accordingly. Once defrosted this product will remain fresh for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

Puppies should be fed 5-6% of their growing body weight and Adult dogs should be fed 2-3% of their ideal body weight.

This is only a guide. Some dogs may need, more or less to maintain proper weight. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed of your puppy depends on the age they can move to adult formula, larger puppies can move over sooner, but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.

Puppies

With puppies between 3 – 6 weeks old, you can start on our weaning paste. Just like with babies, you want to introduce plain and simple foods first. Our weaning paste is ground to a paste that will have fine bits of bone, which is great for puppies' teeth and easy for them to digest. The weaning paste is only intended as a supplement to the mother's milk. They should be allowed to suckle first then offer the weaning paste.

After 6 weeks, you can start introducing our puppy food which is still very fine and a simple, bland food. By the time they reach 4 months, you can start introducing the normal formulas.
