Why switch your cat to raw?
Raw feeding is one of the most scientifically sound decisions a cat owner can make. Cats are obligate carnivores; their bodies are designed to extract nutrition from animal protein, not grains or plant-based fillers. A complete raw diet more closely mirrors what cats evolved to eat, and many owners report visible improvements in coat condition, digestion, weight management and energy after making the switch.
Why start with chicken and beef?
Chicken is a lean, highly digestible protein and one of the most widely tolerated by cats, making it the ideal starting point for a new raw feeder. Beef adds variety, a richer flavour profile and a different amino acid and micronutrient contribution. Together, they give you a meaningful comparison from the very first box, helping you understand what your cat prefers before committing to a larger order.
Is Nutriment's cat food nutritionally complete?
Yes. Every Nutriment cat formula is nutritionally complete, meaning each recipe is carefully balanced to provide everything your cat needs without additional supplementation. High-quality meat, offal and bone in species-appropriate ratios, with no grains, fillers or artificial additives.
How do I switch my cat to a raw diet?
Cats can be more cautious about dietary changes than dogs, so a gradual transition is recommended. Start by mixing a small amount of raw into your cat's current food and increase the proportion over 7–14 days. Some cats take to it immediately; others need a little more time. Patience pays off.
How much should I feed my cat?
Feed approximately 2–3% of your cat's ideal body weight per day, split into two meals. Kittens and highly active cats may need more. Adjust based on your cat's condition and consult your vet if unsure.
