A dog owner's guide to a cosy night in...

Get cosy with your dog this RAWtumn with Nutriment!

“Look how dark it is already!”

Come on… admit it, we’ve all said that at least once so far this autumn, haven’t we?! As a nation we are pretty obsessed with seasonal changes. As the weather changes and evenings get darker, we automatically reside ourselves to our diminishing vitamin D levels and counting down the weeks to December 25th (don’t worry, we won’t say the ‘C’ word just yet!).

However, it’s certainly not all doom and gloom. As autumn settles in, we’ve got lots to look enjoy and look forward to, including colourful, snuggly autumnal walks, piled-high roast dinners with all the trimmings on a Sunday, and who doesn’t love a cosy night in?

Here at Nutriment, and for many of the humans in our pack, our pet dogs are very much part of the family. So, it goes without saying that they are included in our autumn cosy night in plans. We’ve put together the ‘ultimate cosy night in’ plan to keep everyone toasty and happy this autumn.

Comforting, warm drinks

What’s your ‘cosy night in’ drink of choice? A classic cup of tea? A fancy hot chocolate adorned with marshmallows and squirty cream? Or perhaps a spicy mulled wine?! Whatever your hot drink of choice, letting your dog join in is a super loving way to involve them in your cosy night in. The best ‘hot drink’ for your four-legged friend? A warming bowl of bone broth of course! Nutriment’s brand-new range of bone broth liquids can be gently heated and served warm to your pups for a soothing bowl of goodness, that tastes fantastic and delivers a powerful punch of nutrition as well.

Snack bowls!

Popcorn, chocolate, crisps, sweets, fruit salad, cheese and biscuits… the list is endless when it comes to film-friendly, cosy-night-in snacks for us humans. But what about the pooch? As we know, human snacks aren’t always the safest option for dogs, with many ingredients in foods such as chocolate and sweets being toxic and digestion unfriendly. Fear not, Nutriment has you covered. Our extensive array of raw bones and treats, and handy treat bundles will tick all the boxes when it comes to snack time. How about a moo tube for them to devour whilst you tuck into your popcorn? Or a handful of Leo & Wolf chicken treats might take their fancy?

Snuggly blankets

Whether the dog is allowed on the sofa or not, a snuggly blanket of their own is a great treat in itself. Perfect for keeping warm on colder evenings, and a great idea to keep your dog calm and feeling safe (we’re thinking ahead with fireworks, Halloween and festive parties), you can’t go wrong with a snuggly blanket on a cosy night in!

Four-legged friendly films

The drinks are warm, the snack bowls are full, and you’re all wrapped up in snuggly blankets – it’s time to pick the film! What better way to top off a cosy night in with the whole family than choosing a film which your dog can enjoy too. They may be fast asleep for the duration, but they’re definitely watching in spirit! Fancy something animated? Choose between Bolt, 101 Dalmatians or Lady & The Tramp. A tearjerker more your style? Be brave and go for Marley & Me, Lassie or A Dog’s Purpose. Up for a laugh? Pick from Beethoven, Scooby Doo or Dog!

Say cheese!
